About the Chef
Susie Lane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from
Washington State University and has graduated with honors
from The Art Institute - Seattle, Culinary School. Susie has also
worked as a flight attendant for a major airline for over 13 years.
In 2005, she decided to use her culinary background and her
customer service skills together and consequently, The Kitchen
Door was born.

"Cooking has been a passion of mine since as far back as I can
remember, maybe dating back to my Easy Bake Oven?  My idea
of fun on a Saturday morning was to bring a full spread
'breakfast in bed' to my parents.  I have many fond memories of
cooking with my mom and grandma from over the years."  My
parents always said, "Figure out your passion and find a way to
make a living at it."  So, here I am!

Susie holds a Washington State Food Handlers' Permit, is a
certified Serve Safe Food Handler and is a member of the
American Personal and Private Chef Association.  She is also
Licensed and Insured.

Susie's experience as an educator and working in the customer
service industry for over 13 years makes her an ideal candidate
to own and operate her personal chef business and to serve
YOU!
