It is our mission to provide clients with fresh, tasty, nutritious
meals within the comfort of their own homes, allowing for more
free time, improved quality of life with family and friends, and
increased opportunities to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
About the Chef
Susie Lane has graduated with honors
from The Art Institute - Seattle, Culinary School and also holds a
Bachelor of Arts in Education from Washington State University.
Susie has also worked as a flight attendant for a major airline for
over 13 years. In 2005, she decided to use her culinary
background and her customer service skills together and
consequently, her personal chef business, The Kitchen Door
was born.
Most recently, Susie was given an outstanding opportunity, to
purchase The Savory Gourmet. This could not have been a
more perfect fit. As an established Personal Chef in the Greater
Seattle area, and as the demand for dinnertime relief grew, it
seemed natural for her to expand her business to gourmet home
delivered meals.
"Cooking has been a passion of mine since as far back as I can
remember, maybe dating back to my Easy Bake Oven? My idea
of fun on a Saturday morning was to bring a full spread
'breakfast in bed' to my parents. I have many fond memories of
cooking with my mom and grandma from over the years." My
parents always said, "Figure out your passion and find a way to
make a living at it." So, here I am!
Susie holds a Washington State Food Handlers' Permit, is a
certified Serve Safe Food Handler and is a member of the
American Personal and Private Chef Association. She is also
Licensed and Insured.
Susie's experience as an educator and working in the customer
service industry for over 13 years makes her an ideal candidate
to own and operate her meal delivery and personal chef
business and to serve YOU!
